Action, Advocacy & Education

The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Saint John is a non-profit, non-partisan, charitable organization concerned with promoting women’s equality and education. We have over 50 members from a broad range of professional backgrounds and interests who have come together to participate in public affairs, pursue knowledge, contribute to the community, and share in lasting friendship.  It is a fantastic way to keep active and stay involved locally!

Visitors and new members are always welcome!

At our general meetings, we host discussions on a variety of important issues. Anyone is welcome to attend, listen and have their voice heard. While there is often a focus on women’s rights, we are also committed to:

  • Eliminating Gendered Violence
  • Alleviating Poverty
  • Local issues
  • Combating homelessness

Debates and discussions by our members, and fascinating monthly guest speakers contribute to our understanding of complex issues and inspire us to take on projects for social change. It is a wonderful way to network with like-minded, passionate women and to help make a difference.
