Diana Mary Williams joined CFUW Lethbridge and District when she emigrated to Canada in 1970. By 2012, she had been a member of the British Federation of University Women for 10 years and a CFUW Lethbridge and District member for 40 years. Over the years, Diana held many Executive positions in the club, namely as a President and Treasurer. She was a strong supporter of the Advocacy Committee. Our club had an Environmental Interest Group and women from this group (namely Helen Schuler, Liz Hall and Mary Bailey) advocated for what is now the Helen Schuler Coulee Centre and the Liz Hall Wetlands. Moreover, Diana was part of many National Committees and attended many National Annual General Meetings (AGM) held throughout Canada as well as many Graduate Women International AGM held in countries around the world. Our club always looked to her for mentorship. Diana has left an incredible mark on CFUW locally, provincial, nationally and internationally.
